Rochester NY is a city in Monroe County, New York in the United States. It is the second largest city of New York in United States. Rochester NY is also recognized as The Flour City or Flower City. The population of Rochester is about 207,000 according to the 2008 estimations. It is the third largest city of New York on the basis of population. The total land area of Rochester NY is 35.8 sq mi (92.8 km2) and water area is 1.3 sq mi (3.3 km2) and both these make up total area of 37.1 sq mi (96.1 km2). Robert Duffy is the current mayor of Rochester.

Rochester NY has a very strategic location and it lies in the east of Buffalo and west of Syracuse. In addition, it is on the southern shore of Lake Ontario and Genesee River bisects the city.
